Here at First Baptist Church of Williamstown, we hold our community in high regard. We realize that God placed our church in this community and placed the people here in this time in history because He has a plan and a purpose for us.
As it states in scripture, God wants us to reach out to people and minister to them; walk with them through the hard times and celebrate with them in the good times. He wants us to express the amazing love of God through our service. He also wants us to grow closer in our relationship with Him and He wants us to grow closer to each other.
With that in mind, we offer some Ministries and Small Groups that help us to be of service to our congregation and to the surrounding communities here in the Berkshires. Please join us as we journey together.
Men’s Discipleship Group – This Small Group meets every Tuesday morning at 8:30am in the lower level of the church. Currently we are studying “The Good & Beautiful God” by James Bryan Smith. If you are interested in joining us, contact Carl Sweet at Contact Us.
Prayer Chain Ministry – Our Deacons here at First Baptist Church are leading the way with our Prayer Chain ministry. This ministry is made up of folks who are committed to pray for urgent needs within our church family. If you would like to join this important ministry, or if you have an urgent prayer request, please contact Bill Barrale at Contact Us or call 413-458-4811.
Monthly Fellowship Luncheons – Each month, during the academic year, First Baptist holds a sumptuous potluck meal directly after the service. This is a wonderful time to connect with our church family and we welcome all to mingle and branch out by breaking bread together.
Lemonade on the Lawn – During the summer months, we offer a time of refreshments…you guessed it…out front on our lawn. This gives our church family an opportunity to touch base, say hello and reconnect while enjoying the beauty of the Berkshires outdoors.
