Glad, Giving and Growing

I remember camping with my grandparents as a young boy, and the night our flashlight caught the attention of a wandering raccoon.  Drawn to the light, he made his way directly towards our open tent ‘door’ while my grandmother frantically turned off the light and zipped up the door!  Since then I’ve come to realize that all God’s creatures, not just raccoons, can’t help themselves – they’re instinctively drawn to the light.  And that goes for God’s greatest creation!  Jesus says in the Sermon on the Mount that Christians are the ‘light of the world’.  So like that raccoon, others should be drawn to us because we are ‘light’.  But what about us is ‘light’?  Join us tomorrow at 10 AM and we’ll pray God’s light shining through us will draw you, like that raccoon, to our open door!
